| The selection of work below is from the end of 2003 to 2006. This work is on paper and wood, mostly unframed. Gone is the contemplating, I am more concerned with the expression of pure colour and form. My Peru pictures are not included, I will upload them shortly. |
| This work comprises my work from college through to my work in the first few years at my Dublin city studio. What typifies this work is both the blending of mythological and literal influences with my own personal expression at the time. |
| The work from 2001 on becomes more personally expressive of my own painting and my confidence in that painting. |
| The work from this period is melancholy and reflective, mirroring my life at the time. There is more calm and a sense of something waiting to happen in this work for me. The figures are still and contemplative. |
| The period of time between summer 2006 and now has been special in my life, as I have met the person with whom I am going to spend the rest of my life, Daniel. Since that has happened, life has come to the fore somewhat and I haven't done so much work till January this year. I am currently working on a series of paintings using collage and mixed media, based on memory. Work in the prelim. stages are included in the link above this script. |
